Round-trip tickets to UAE
If you intend to travel to the UAE, it is advisable to book round-trip tickets on the same airline to avoid confusion during the emigration procedure. The advisory comes in the light of complications faced by some passengers with return leg tickets booked in different airlines. The directive is being practiced by immigration officers to avoid illegal immigration to the UAE. If round-trip tickets are issued in the same airline, the airport staff can verify its validity while issuing the boarding pass.
Booking chauffeur services for Emirates Business
Chauffeurâdrive service is available to passengers travelling on Emiratesâoperated flights with confirmed reservations in First Class, and in Business Class with a Saver, Flex or Flex Plus fare. However, one needs to book for the chauffeur-drive services at least 48 hrs prior to the departure to ensure confirmed bookings. While one may avail chauffeurâdrive services within 48 hours ahead of the flight, the same will not be guaranteed by the airline.
UAE Visa on arrival
All Indian citizens holding U.S. visas, green cards, U.K Resident Permits, or EU resident permits can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 days provided that the visa or the green card is valid for at least six months from the date of arrival into the UAE.
Visit or transit via Hong Kong visa-free
Indian nationals must apply for and successfully complete pre-arrival registration online before they can visit or transit the HKSAR visa-free. Pre-arrival registration is not required for Indian nationals in direct transit by air and not leaving the airport transit area. An Indian national can make use of the online service to apply for pre-arrival registration free of charge if he/she:
- holds an Indian passport valid for at least six months; and
- intends to visit or transit (except in direct transit by air and not leaving the airport transit area) the HKSAR for a stay not exceeding 14 days.
